thanks for the report. I don't mind that smb v1 is disabled by default. the issue is that even when it's disabled ( presumably only SMB v2/3 is enabled ) on win 1803 - no other windows ( no matter 7/8/10 or their editions / versions ) can connect or detect that PC in the LAN ! this is NOT happening on other win10 ( RTM ) in the LAN - even when applying the SAME CONFIGURATION ! as I mentioned, MS officially wrote that this issue will be solved in SR5 - so that's why i'm so interested to hear others reports, whom installed RS5.
that's EXACTLY the issue I complain about 1803, and wonder if still existed on 1809. in my previous post I link to a MS article about it and another guide with possible solutions.
So what? Download corruption is still an issue, especially with 3 GB files, and even worse it's coming through an unencrypted HTTP connection. Yes but there's an ESD file... So are those ESDs for the insider preview or something? I'm a linux guy so I'm not too familiar with the Windows release process.
We never published ESD checksums but feel free to download all and generate the checksums + publish them.
For ESDs, like for Updates from the Windows Update Catalog, the SHA-1 is part of the file name. 17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_clientbusiness_vol_x86fre_de-de_40010e2c160737258f6bc106e532ceebfed60c11
