hello, Right-click context menu (folder/file options and on desktop) text font has gone thin, menu doesn't look glossy. This has occurred twice after fresh reinstall. What could be the reason? Please suggest.
Sure it could be fixed with "just a patch" but on the off chance somebody chooses not to check for updates when installing, a new build definitely would be a better fix. Not the solution I am wanting, since I've got about 40% of my servers and 20% of desktops upgraded this week. Hate to start all that over again.

What if it's a problem in the installer of build 17663.1 and not the build files? how can they fix the installer with a patch?
That would likely be one of those dynamic updates, pull down the fixed files for the installer and re-launch it on the fly.
It is still possible to get ISO on temporary links from TechBench by WZT (v4.1.1). Do not worry. All the links are to Microsoft servers.
Can someone upload cn_windows_10_consumer_edition_version_1809_updated_sept_2018_arm64_dvd_76148eed.iso? thnx.
Here is just a thought.... maybe Microsoft will add an update to 17134.320 that you must install before you can upgrade to the Oct update to fix the folder deleting problem after the upgrade. Then releasing a CU for 17763.1 to fix The task manager and other bugs. This is just my thoughts if they aren't going to make a new build. But I do think Microsoft will have some type of fix for the deleting folders issue that must be installed before or downloaded during the upgrade if a new build is made. I for once have no issues with the Oct update besides the task manager bug. I do think Microsoft is getting sloppy with the releases and needs to fix this now rather than later because this isn't looking good. I think they should focus 19H1 on fixing bugs and all the outdated UI elements left over from xp up to windows 7. Hell dark mode is a joke and looks like crap. I've seen better themes on DA then what they have done. Sorry for the rant! lol
Well im not gonna install another build,i have the 1809 update fresh installed and its working great, except for the task manager bug but who uses that anyway all my games are running smooth and im happy about that,no files deleted because of fresh install like it should be
With some luck, it'll be released a CU and updated new media with it, instead of launching a whole new build.
