Who knows. IMO Microsoft need to bring back the private beta programs and stop with the Windows Insider where everyone and their dog can be a "tester" along with the telemetry BS...
Microsoft needs to sack the current Windows team (and CEO) and replace them with competent professionals who do not spend most of their time pissing about on social media with pictures of cats
But if I want to install old version of windows 10 like RS4, RS3 I can retrieve disc and install it quickly without copy image to USB each time. I save time. The USB is good for beta versions.
I agree with this because that is all I see them post anymore. Hey, wasn't they just in Orlando when they released this to the public?? It seems like they only care about the events theses days and not the software that is running the hardware. Wzor posted on twitter the following... " The final release number of Windows 10 Version 1809 # October2018Update will not change, it will remain Build 17763, release #CumulativeUpdate and reissue new ISOs with an integrated update ... * Affected platforms: p.s: you will have to pump all ISOs again ..."
That wouldn't have helped in this case, as the issue (if it happens) occurs during installation. So running the new version for an extended period afterwards wouldn't have made this easier to spot.
The fault does not lie with the Insider's programme - in fact it worked beautifully - it lies with MS IGNORING feedback from numerous Insiders who reported this very problem.
True... but it would give more testers time to install because not everyone sits and waits at computer for a new build. My point is that they are rushing things a bit.
Truth, As insider I also reported alot of problems that didn't get fixed in final RTM build. However they fixed most of the problems i reported, one of them was UI programs not working ( Classic shell for example ), other one was soundcards only showing digital SPDIF interfaces in device managers, no analog output, those were all fixed.
