This thing also seems like bug (or at least bad design choice). 17763.104 (i have directly installed this build so i dont know about .1 or .55) won't show outline on active explorer window, but it does on inactive. Active window: Inactive window:
@Snoop05 I do not think that it is a bug. When a windows get the focus the top ribbon plus the three external border (a thin line) are painted with a color . that color is customized : go to Settings ----> Personalization -----> Colors. it could also pick an accent color from the background.
Hi, I used contextual menu option to install updates to .104, it worked fine, but in my case this updates, SSU and CU, do not show up in update history afterwards. I appreciate any sugestions to fix this.
In View update history click on "Uninstall updates" in the top left . a panel will show up; you will see your SSU and CU there
I mean that in all windows version as far as i can remmember till 1803 there was an outline on active window and it totaly makes sense that there is a outline because its total garbage in terms of usability without it.

"Tonyblair said: In View update history click on "Uninstall updates" in the top left . a panel will show up; you will see your SSU and CU there" yes indeed, SSU with an older date, I guess they will eventually show up in update history, no need to fix this now then
Am i missing something? EDIT: Btw. clicking "Learn more" (Looking for info on the latest update?) redirects me to 1803 update history. M$ done it right once again.
I remember when Office 2013 updates were done thru WU it was even trying to update components that weren't even installed (Outlook, Access, Publisher, ...) it also [and now sit down so you don't hurt yourself] it tried to install x64 updates on x86 machine. (happened repeatedly on multiple machines)
Office always updates all components, they don't show up installed but they are actually there. We have seen multiple offerings of updates before, when they are available in 2 IP rings at once. Or when you enable dotnetfx3 or install a LP after the update is installed.
I've seen that happen with RS3 ... it was trying to download the upgrade even though the host was RS3!
I clicked several times on "Check for updates" but nada , nicht , nein , rien I think it is because my version is Enterprise. so Microsoft do not mess with my computer. in the other hand Education version is for teacher and students they can be testers for free (it is a joke of course )
At the WU level they all are the same, should get all the same updates, same behavior, it probably was just a glitch or a tinkered install.
I only got this update today: "Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Definition 1.279.32.0)"
After letting it install, i did check for updates again and well, it found the same KB so i installed it 2nd time in row (3rd time in total if including slipstreaming) and then i decided to reboot. After that it was ok and i was "Up to date"
Updates only show in Update History if they are installed via WU. Manually installed updates won't show there.
