True, it shouldn't but I have read some places that seemingly minor things such as changing drivers has disrupted activation. Perhaps a combination of changing hard drive and reinstalling, perhaps inadvertently choosing a different driver version for some piece of hardware?
I Didn't even bother to install specific drivers on 7, only make sure there aren't any question marks in "device manager". This week i'm going to reinstall everything on a brand new ssd, we'll see what happens. I'm also planning on trying a RAM change to see what happens.
