Salutations, Does anyone know of a way to install VMware tools on Vista RTM? I did some research online and everything was saying version 10.3.5-10430147 or 11.0.6.15940789 should work. Tried installing these but both installers say SP2 is required before they can be installed. Is there a version of the tools that works with Vista RTM, a way to patch the SP2 check in the installer (exe file) or a way to manually install drivers that will work with RTM? Thank you.
And downgrade VM to v15 - use VMware buildt-in conversion (only change virtualHW.version = "xx" in *.vmx will not work) Btw: VMware tools 10.2.5 - also found in VMware-workstation-full-14.1.8-14921873.exe And there is a "Unity.version = "10.2.5.xxxx"" you can look up, not sure which is newest.
I had a looksie just for fun Unity.version = "10.2.5.3619" VMware-workstation-full-14.1.8-14921873.exe Unity.version = "10.2.5.8049" (i don't think difference is notable...)
