It was OK! until I run the command (from within Windows 8.1)

    bcdedit /store F:\Boot\BCD /set {default} NoIntegrityChecks Yes
    AND
    BCDEdit /set {default} NoIntegrityChecks Yes

It start to behave the way it does know!

Goto @Jan1's thread(OP has link), my post#4, download the patch pack, and run coreinfo to find out. :D

i assume i can run that in xp or 7?

is there a list of updates that will break the patch yet?

EDIT: i can't find moderate's patched file(s) but, i think i might try this method, errr i can't find it again but, it was to use the "setup.exe" then patch it from win 7.... i think.

EDIT: I see it was also too stupid to partition the partition and make it's own partition for system reserved. that may also have something to do with it. it seems if you wish to multi boot off the same drive you may have to install one os at a time an resize and add partitions and so forth.

well i do have PAE but, at some point in the install it crashed with "0x0000000A". also it messed up my boot loader on my windows 7 hard drive and the drive it' installing to had not boot loader. :french_blank:

Guess i'll try install from 7... again and patching from seven.... i guess you patch from 7 when it shuts down to restart for the for the first reboot?

If you use XP there would be some problems to overcome, XP does not have BCD, or BCDedit.exe, and I believe EasyBCD needs .Net2.0 to run., naturally you could overcome all these problems, but it's much simpler to do it in win7. :p

i tried installing from 7 with a pre patched ISO and failed horribly with error 0x0000000A, i patched the files from the install.wim with jan's patcher then repacked into an ew wim file and back in to the iso.

Please read the OP(update), it's better to do it yourselves and could use any win8 version/language. :D

copy the patched ntoskrnl.exe in "NX patch" into win_T\windows\system32, you should see a dialogue asking if you wish to replace the original file, click OK.

Where is the patched ntoskrnl??

You got me mixed up with your questions, please tell me where you got these instructions(because there were a few different ways to patch, I don't know which one you were referring to). :p

I installed windovs 8 you described nachin.Stignah to this step-
Press F8, then 7 to disable driver signature pressed F8 and showed only a black screen.
