I have Intel i7-6700HQ @2.6GHz. Is that a 10th Generation?
The installation itself wasn't a difficult thing since my laptop has compatibility mode but finding drivers was a bit of hassle.. The nVidia bothered me the most. I had the fans going full speed randomly once a while with several versions of the driver.
Having a laptop with 64GB of RAM and 1TB M2 while staying on Seven as main OS feels great though

6th Generation, the last with official drivers from Intel for Windows 7 and Windows 8.x.
