Hey i installed windows 7 on a computer with a dvd burner sata and everything was ok.
later i tried installing on a computer with a ide dvd burner and it started to bood and it got stuck at the blue screen before it let you choose the language.

Any idea if its because of the IDE dvd burner or what?
    Thanks.

I've installed Windows 7 with SATA, IDE and USB DVD drives with no problem at all.

I'd double check that the chipsets on your mobo are compatible.
Or that Windows 7 has drivers for them.

Yeah my IDE also stucked installing it. But i had several problems before with the drive so maybe yours is damaged too. And has finally problems with the Double Layer DVD ??

Yeah, seems unlikely that the issue is the ide burner.
More likely the mobo drivers are causing the hickup.

As it's a comp with ide instead of sate, it indicates that it's an older system, so drivers could be an issue...
