Open the VM settings, select System, and on the Motherboard tab, select Enable EFI (special OSes only).
I just tried it. Put the bootmgfw.efi (785kb) modified by FLASHBOOT into 7601 and do UEFI boot. It can’t boot, so it doesn’t mean that 7880 can’t boot the motherboard without CSM.
Can you send the patched bootmgfw.efi on PM (if you have it, as I am currently not going to spend money just to boot Windows 7 (and possibly Vista) on UEFI without CSM)? And BTW it will work with 7880 on VirtualBox (and with Windows Vista)?
I think 7880 kernel booting 7601 is the best, of course it can’t be compared with win10, but I feel that WIN10 is too difficult to modify
@PrimeExpert Software Will the use of bootmgfw.efi cause the installation of the graphics card driver to fail, such as code 43 or some other problems, Because I have encountered it on my laptop, but I don’t know if it is caused by this file.
I am going to try it on VirtualBox anyway, and BTW what graphics card you are using? As AFAIK only NVidia graphics card is affected by this problem.
