hi, I wanted to know if the install.wim etc from windows 10 would work from the usb install drive, instead of alive enviroment ? I have been trying to create a windows 7 usb installer for 6 months with no luck, tried just about everything . any help greatly appreciated PC= Lenovo - IdeaCentre 5i Desktop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 1TB SATA Hard Drive - Processor Model Intel 10th Generation Core i5 Processor Model Number i5-104000 Processor Speed (Base) 2.9 gigahertz Storage Type HDD Graphics Intel UHD Graphics
I bought a licence, so was curious if I could get it thru pm. I can send proof, but I'm not sure how to pm here.
So would it be possible to replace the vga.sys in the 7878 build with the omne in win7, or raname basicdisplay.sys to vga and use that instead?
Lol I and @ExtremeGrief tried to install Windows 8 7880 on UEFI class 3, but without success, but also @ExtremeGrief tried to install Windows 8 7899 on UEFI class 3 with success, so, try to use basicdisplay.sys from Windows 8 7899 instead
Yes Windows 8 7899 boots with integrated USB drivers but i haven't found a way to port it to Windows 7/Earlier Windows 8 builds
How did you get to to boot? It just crashes and gives an error message, this computer has encountered an error and needs to restart.
BSOD? If it is BSOD (mostly common 0x000000A5 aka ACPI_BIOS_ERROR), then it is common in the late 78xx - early 83xx range
But I am also wondering if FlashBoot Pro patched bootmgfw.efi can work with Windows Vista/2008, because I am mostly interesting in Windows Vista/2008 than in Windows XP/2003, 7/2008 R2, etc, and I am wondering if FlashBoot Pro patched bootmgfw.efi can work with it, but we have another problem... Haswell+ clock drift bug and Ryzen bluescreening
I'll try to post a picture soon. It Yes I think that was it. I'll try to get a screenshot at some point. So what are our options then if that is the case?
BTW, someone on MSFN was got Windows Vista working on UEFI class 3, but however, he was used UefiSeven to boot Vista, and also he installed it on Sandy Bridge (or Ivy Bridge, but we don't know exactly)
I think Windows 7 ACPI patch works but he could try to just copy Windows 8 ACPI I guess I'm lucky to be able to run any Vista+ OS on latest BIOS on my B450 motherboard
But anyway, it is so weird that Windows 7/2008 R2 can work on most modern hardware, but not 8/2012 beta (late 78xx-early 83xx)
