Locked both cards again. Whad i did was that i changed the 8C162B003C104030 string to 8680354286800110 starting in offset (h) 048B533C. So i'm guessing i'm hitting the whitelist and i'm close Anyone have an idea how to brake the last bit?
It's DONE!!! the ting i did wrong was that windows gave me the wrong subsys 10018086. The card had in fact 11018086. The metod: 1 open the FD in ez2o 2 open ez2o RAM in a hex-editor (I used HxD) 3 search fore your old wifi card in reverse order "8C162B003C104030" (old card ven168C dev002B subsys3040103C) (Atheros AR9285)) 4 find another card and change it to your new one (red) (old card blue) It shuld look like this: 8C 16 2A 00 3C 10 41 30 02 00 00 00 8C 16 2A 00 3C 10 42 30 02 00 00 00 8C 16 2B 00 3C 10 3F 30 03 00 00 00 8C 16 2B 00 3C 10 40 30 03 00 00 00 E4 14 15 43 3C 10 07 15 03 00 00 00 E4 14 15 43 3C 10 08 15 03 00 00 00 E4 14 2B 43 3C 10 09 15 03 00 00 00 E4 14 2B 43 3C 10 10 15 03 00 00 00 08 00 00 00.... 5. do another search and you will find another identikal set of cards, change it again (i found 2 places and changed them both) 6 save your progress (in RAM) 7 go back to ezh2o and save as (mod1.FD) 8 run the BIOS exe from HP when insyde flasher pops up STOP! 9 go to c:\SwSetup\<your bios> and copy/paste your modded FD file in it the folder 10 Change the name of your mod to the same as the original and delete the original FD file (the only in the folder shuld be our modded FD file) 11 flash bios with insyde flasher 12 reboot 13 congratulations! no more 104-lock
I have a HP Paviliion dm3 1040eo. And wanted to add a Tv-tuner card to the port where usually the wwan card should be placed. There is no wwan card in my computer. When I do so, then I get Error: 105 unsupported card. - Similar to 104 for the dv laptops. The wlan card I have in the other port is the same as mortens with: ven168C dev002B subsys3040103C . Followed mortens guide but it stops where I'm to find 8C162B003C104030 I don't have that in my HeXlist (shouldn't I? I have same card). Could be because of Bios f.22 is build different. It's a really good guide - thx to Morten, but I can't come any further - do anyone have any ideas? And as not enough with problem, I can't find the dev, ven or subsys. - the tv tuner card is from a Zepto znote 6625. With chipset: rtl2831u - Realtek. I have the driver(nothing found there) I would appreciate the help Greetings Jonas. PS. new to this bios flashing tho. Edit: I have looked closer into my matter and found out that the hexeditor doesn't find the bios hex. Even my ezh20 version is 2.1.013 . I'm pretty sure I do right - Now I'm not so sure if Ezh20 work to my bios(can't read it correct). How would otherwise the easiest way to do it be?
Bump I don't wanna seem annoying. Is there nobody that can help me and others with this bios. I'm stuck. Only some ideas would be great. //Jonas
