    I have SPI-programmer, but package of EEPROM is WSON with soldering pads below housing (difficult to remove). Perhaps i can change it to SOIC with pins.

    EFI-shell is as described setup_var 0x36 0x01 and setup_var 0x39 0x01?

    I do not know which variables you must change to unlock the BIOS - try the method / utilities from that forum to disable the BIOS rewrite lock

    Where to find the lock/what exactly is locked? ME-firmware? I guess it is only the write-lock?

    My problem: The efi-shell won't start, i prepared a FAT32-stick as described, but nothing happens, only black screen with cursor upper left.

    Hello. I have an MSI GP72MVR laptop. Is it possible to mod this bios to enable all bios options? The bios is American Megatrends Inc. E179CIMS.305 dated 4/19/2017. Thanks for your help.
