Excuse-me, I've learned how to flash a bios with an eeprom flasher recently and after that I started researching about Bios mods. I have an Acer laptop and I would like to get access to the advanced menus or remove certain locks if there are any. The problems is that I don't know where to start researching and what references to use, most modded bios are just gifted by other users already edited, so the knowledge on how to do it or how to learn how to do it gets lost. I code some simple things, but my interest has always been the lower level or interesting stuff like micro-controllers, bios modding, communication protocols and things like that. The laptop is a Acer Aspire A515-45-R760 and it used the Insyde H20 tool. I've already extracted and edited the .fd file before so I could flash it directly (after I bricked the bios by using Smokeless UMAF lol), but I want to understand more and do more. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help pointing a way or transmitting knowledge. I hope I can eventually give back to the community.
@Ikarus1111a Appoaches may differ depending on the manufacturer. PM me if you want to know them all. Still no response. Why posting on the forum if you such a lazy ass?
Hello everyone, I recently found this site (I hope I'm not breaking any rules). I need help unlocking the advanced options or a mod of my BIOS that could recognize UEFI (if possible). Here are the details of my computer: HP Pavilion g6 1381sp Processor A4-3305M APU with RADEON HD GRAPHICS 1.90 GHz 8 GB RAM 667 MHz, 2 slots DDR3 Bios Insydeh20 rev3.5 version F.6A I'm a newbie when it comes to BIOS installation, so if you could also provide me with a guide on the steps to follow (or a link), that would be wonderful. Thank you
There's a mod for F24 version, but it bricks laptop upon entering sleep mode. The only mod, because other versions include enhanced protection. To break it, SPI flashing is required.
Sorry for the lack of response, I started working on my thesis and had some financial problems, had to drop other things I was working on and never returned to the forum. Now that i got a new eeprom device since the last one was borrowed I plan on returning to some tasks I left behind.
Hi, I am new here! I replaced my failed motherboard with one with BIOS v1.03 InsydeH20 Rev 5.0. The problem is that the touchpad doesn't work now. The old motherboard's bios has Touchpad option, while the new one is missing a touchpad in the main menu. Is it possible to modify the new bios so that a Touchpad options appear?
I think this one neither has unlocked menus. It's made by conghoaxa1 who mostly does SLIC insertion mods.
