Hi, and thank you for trying to help here. It seems that in 1 everything is done correctly. But one thing that I'm not sure about is "(choose in BIOS DOS)" - usually when you boot from CD or USB there is nothing to choose...you just boot in DOS.
I sure typed command correctly. flas**t KAL90X64.fd /all If I typed wrong this command, I could not get SLIC 2.0 last time. (I bought my lappy non OS, SLIC not included). Thank for all. I must accept Window Vista. SLIC 2.1 is not for me.
No. Please try flashing the original bios now, then do the modded one again using the switch /all. Please make sure you are doing so in DOS P.S. How do you choose DOS in BIOS? I don't understand this part.
Ok I explain clearly: 1. Firstly, I placed Flas**t.exe (Flas**t tool) and KAL90X64.fd into Thumb Drive (create a bootable USB thumb drive) 2. Second, Restart laptop. 3. Then, When laptop restart. I press F2 (only Acer Branch) go into BIOS Environment (setup BIOS, check laptop information, set up Sata Mode). 4. Choose Boot Part, (Boot Priority order configure Boot from USB thumb drive on the first. Default: my laptop I configure Boot from HDD on the first, Boot CD-DVD on the second. 5. Save changes and Exit 6. PC will boot USB thumb drive (black screen) 7. I typed the command following: flas**t KAL90X64.fd /all The screen display: FLASH COMPLETED! THE PC will restart. (Successful, I have done it) I used switch /all for all cases that I tried before. However, I check by SLIC Dump Tool, the result is SLIC still 2.0. Nothing to changes.
Ok, yes, everything is correct. So now first you have flashed the original (not modded) bios then followed by modded one and the slic is still 2.0? You don't have any lo.ders in your system? Is your Vista installation CD original?
