Insyde bios mod requests.

Hi, Just read up on RW Reporting, this is to activate 7. Please tell me if I;ve messed up the report. I was told the new BIOS from HP is SLIC 2.1, though I don't know how the confirm. Even after the update in Windows, SLIC Dump shows version 2.0. Hence I tried the dos route, but this isn't working. Flas**t says The ROM File is not match this platform. Interestingly, the BIOS Model name is different despite me using the SAME bios download. It says current 361B, new 360F.

is it possible to load Vista or 7 on this laptop and use a loader
or does bios have to be 2.0 or 2.1 slic(or is that just for oem install) ?

Hi, i'm glad you found that adventurous part of you and actually went for bios flashing - the best way of activating W7 or Vista. It's not as dangerous as it might seem especially with Insyde because only very little change is made to it which doesn't effect any of your computer functionality. It's 50/50 but you always can request to mod a new one. Just make sure you keep this one just in case.
