Hi, this is a known issue with Toshiba - sometimes after flashing slic table disappears. Unfortunately we don't know why this happens or how to fix it yet.
thanks for the feedback.. crap, should i be able to flash the original bios back and at least get the slic2.0 ?
You can try but i'm not sure if it will work. You see problem like that with HP can be solved by using HP DMI tools which enable slic table, or with ACER sure way of getting that slic table is flashing from DOS with the switch all - works all the time. But with Toshiba it doesn't and personally I haven't seen any tools that could help here.
Not likely..it seems that once the slic info is gone, it is gone.. Good luck though...You never know with these..
str8 & 911medic, thanks again for the suggestions/feedback.. i did flash in dos with the /all. flashed it back to the older bios and slic is still gone.. lol ah well.. was doing it to help someone anyway, guess they can go with a Loader
Travelmate 8371 - SLIC 2.1 Not sure about all of the above, i will repost my request just in case... Just to confirm, Everest says this bios is slic 2.0, and i can confirm that i cannot activate. I will only have access to the laptop tomorrow...i will post RW-everything then - if needed.
who cares bro ? I don't think you'll ever use that info. If anything just say it happened after a routing bios update. Well, i don't know man, my lappy came with Vista pre-installed but it had slic 2.0 and they have used OEM:SLP key to activate it (Everest was kind enough to show it to me ) but i still had a different key on the sticker for online activation.
