    Bios 2.00-WIN (original from Toshiba website - SLIC 2.1 included) was installed succsessfully on Toshiba A300-1LT (PSAGCE).
    Certificate: TOSHIBA.XRM-MS
    OEM SLP Key: any from the collection for Ultimate version.

    Special thanks Str8 for info about Slic version in Bios 2.00-WIN.

    Have a question, RW reports in SMBIOS structures that BIOS is INSYDE:

    BIOS VendorString1 - "INSYDE"
    BIOS VensionString2 - "1.80"
    Start Address Segment0x0000
    Release DateString3 - "02/13/2009"
    ...
    ManufacturerString1 - "TOSHIBA"
    Product NameString2 - "Satellite A305"
    VersionString3 - "PSAG0U-02701V"

    Your comment is about a Phoenix BIOS :

    Am I missing or misunderstood something about BIOS vendors? I have the idea that AMI, Phoenix and Insyde are different ones, and should flash with the correct "brand". Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Have read about the procedure to flash the BIOS in case something goes really bad, just want to make sure that flashing goes right at first attempt :)

    Do I just open the .exe? Is the computer supposed to freeze?

    What .exe are you talking about? It's an archive (.rar) that you unpack to an empty folder and run InsydeFlash.exe. The computer will reboot or shut down after the bios update is finished.

    I ran the InsydeFlash.exe but the computer locked up. Help!
