I've never used a Windows based flasher in my entire life. I only ever flash through native DOS. If you are still running only the official BIOS and not the modded one, you need to update to that or windows will never activate.
Ok, So i managed to get the files from an original archive by looking in my temp folder during execution of the executable. Do I now simply replace the old rom with the modified rom? And then should I run the flash.bat file inside the folder or do I need to do something in dos? The content of that batch file is: AFUWIN R1130Y1.rom /P /B /N /E Thanks Thanks in advance.
I have a serious problem with my HP pavilion dv7-1153ca! last night I tried to flash the BIOS on W7 and although I saw the different ID (30F3 instead of 30F4) I thought this might be inevitable! but after it finished and the notebook tried to restart it didn't come up anymore!! now I get only the cpu fan sound and some minor hdd activity!! I am screwed... any help? I remember we could retrieve the BIOS using a USB flash 2 or 3 years ago, not sure for now. any help or suggestion b4 I have to send it to HP? thx BMI
