    DV7T- 1000 Bios problem

    Yen,
    You said this.

"The DV7T-1000 bios originally bricked my laptop. Turns out the "auto detect" feature will flash the wrong bios (because there are three in the file). Just FYI, most insyde bios have a secret 'failsafe' to recover from a bad bios flash."

I am sure this is the wrong place to post but i am panicing I just Bricked mine and do not know what to do. I thought i was getting the right Bios from the site but i picked the wrong one. What is the Failsafe to fix this and what is the right Bios mod for my DV7T-1000 with a f.2C BIOS.

Please help me Yen or anyone else that can.

It shows no sign of life.. will not even power on.

Yes, prior to formating and reinstalling win 7 I found this Lo.der with Benq Slic so I used it to actv. new install and made the rw report in hopes it might shed light on the odd table size. Too bad I don't know more about the actual mod process?

No my friend, this isn't helping. It's like trying to fix a Mercedes using some Audi's test results :D

Thanks and understood. My thinking was the rw report would show a Benq Slic table and further I thought all Mfgrs. Slic tables were identical (believe I read that somewhere on this forum), i.e. Acer Slic tables would all be the same for 2.1 regardless of the model # of the computer. If Slic tables are indeed the same per Mfgr. would, then, a copy of Benq Slic table be of use to mod this 1.01 bios? I am currently searching for method (program) to enable me to extract (Benq) Slic table from an actual bios file.

I get it that I might simply not understand this process well enough to generate appropriate ideas as how to resolve this, I just really want a good bios mod and, too, I hate to lose all invested time and energy thus far. If you think this cannot be resolved I will cease to bother you further about it.

    Thanks
