"Emulated" is just a term Well, thank you for yor answer, but it's mod BIOS or only emulation? I remove my HDD and run all those softwatres, all see SLIC 2.1. LITTLE CONFUSED. Please help!
Str8: Appreciate the update. I had found thread 7470 and did get the BIOS loaded into RAM where I was able to edit it as well. Your patch DOES enable the new hardware to get past the BIOS whitelist check, but I have been unable to actually get the new N6200 WiFi radio to connect to my network - - for some reason, it does not detect any local signals (I have both 2.4 and 5 GHz A/B/G/N from my dual band router enabled). This is QUITE a strange problem - Winblows 7 Device Manager indicates the device drivers are loaded and working properly, the little blue power light is on indicating power to the radio card, the HP LAN driver indicates the WiFi link is enabled - BUT !! no connection AND - the Intel WiFi Pro hardware diagnostic says the device is either disabled (nope - WAN light is on) OR the drivers are not installed (nope - device manager is happy). SO - - I am left without a clue. If I find a solution, I will post it here. Thanks for your help!!
Great! Thank you for this update Maybe your antivirus is causing the problem? I think i've heard that they can block certain drivers they take for malware.
Str8 Appreciate the thought: I had disabled both Free ZoneAlarm And the Avast AntiVirus - but no changes. Diagnostic scans from the Intel Driver report: ..... . "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter." No clues on that one, even after Google.
