I haven't been paying attention for a while

    Hello Andy,

We tried ar_seven_am bios mod but this resulted in laptop's black screen. This has been succesfully recovered and the laptop is now running original bios without any SLICs. I sent you a PM with details.

    Thanks

    Tom

I have the same dell inspiron N5010 with same bios revision. But the bios is AMI not insyde. It has hidden slic and you have to use the dell bios reset tool.I was able to make the slic 2.1 appear and able to auto activate using original dell win 7 home premium dvd from my old dell inspiron 1545.
