Sony Vaio Z590U dmi insyde bios mod slic
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-Z590U that have Windows Vista, i was able to get the recovery CD for Windows 7 but it is for VGN-Z800G when i try to recover i get the error message that this is not compatible with the machine, after i searched i found that i need to modify DMI on the machine , i used DMISCOPE which was able to read the information, and i can edit product name from Z590U to Z800G but after i exit and i comeback it is still shows Z590U, if anybody can show me the correct path to accomplish this, I would be really appreciated.
the bios is insyde and the version is R2171M3 and this is the link for the bios.
also do i need to do anything about slic, i am new in this concept.
