Hello guys! I tried to find what i need using the forum's tools but it didn't work. I ended up bricking my Vaio VGN-Z46.. Well... It sucks but it's life. Whatever I took that piece'o's**t to the service but guys told me that BIOS that was packed to Sony's installtion *.exe file has a different size (1,4Mb or so instead of 4Mb). Unfortunately i didn't make a bios dump before flashing it. So. What i have now. The bricked Sony vgn- z46 with mobo detached and BIOS chip soldered out to be flashed on programmator; wrong size BIOS rom. All i need is a dump of working BIOS for Sony Z series (no matter if it has an andvanced menu or not, slic 2.1 or slic 2.0) to make that s**t working again (to sell it asap eventually since Sony laptops REALLY suck). Can anyone help??? Pleaaasee
Thanks a lot but it won't work due to a wrong ROM size (the dump must be 4Mb). The point is that BIOS chip is NOT in WORKING system... it's in programmator that needs a correct size rom to flash the chip. Does anyone have a Z (Z46) Sony series? It would be great if you dump your working BIOS to a ROM file... Thanks in advance
