Hey, I get that error trying to use the the tool on a Gateway branded Intel D102GGC2 board WHEN I have the Gateway BIOS installed.
I see you have the Gateway bios in it, go to intel wensite and get intel branded bios for it.
Then OA2 tool will 'complete successfully'. May not work though, that is my experience so far. It programs ok, but the slic stays hidden....????
Is there an 'unhide tool' for intel?
My board is not that old, 3,4 at most, socket 775,DDR2,SATA, ATI x200 chipset, would be decent box with a dual-cpu.

Out of context all these explanations have no sense, but i can imagine that you are refering to post or article concerning overclock with ThrottleStop.

Before modifying a register value somewhere (an i will not do it) you may first have a look in "Advanve" menu (not Advanced) there is some submenus concerning overclocking.

    'CPU Turbo Mode' enabled
    'Override Turbo Settings' disabled
'Long Duration PWR Limit' 0-99 Step 1 Default 0
'Short Duration PWR Limit' 0-99 Step 1 Default 0

    'OverClocking Feature' Disable
Help text: 'This field enables/disables global overclocking functions. When this option is enabled, many more overclocking options are displayed.'

if you enable 'OverClocking Feature', guess you will have access to other options
    ......

All these options are in setup_forms.txt

    can you have a look.
