From what I can tell, all you'll need to do is download that file, extract it somewhere, and then run "InsydeFlash.exe", which should then flash your BIOS. Make sure you're not running any programs when you're doing this, and disable any background software (antivirus, etc) if at all possible, to reduce risk of a brick. Good luck :)

It worked perfectly with no issues thank god then you drewn95 :fish2:

But I was wondering if there is an option that lets me disable the firewire from the BIOS. Is it possible?

You're quite welcome :) As for your Firewire, I'm not sure, you'll have to wait for a more-experienced modder to check that one out Might I ask why you want to disable it? Perhaps there is another solution to what you want to accomplish.

I want to install Mac OS X on my HP Pavilion dv5 (for fun) But it doesn't work until I turn off the Firewire. There is a modded Mac OS X, it's call iDeneb. It worked on a Windows XP that have Phoenix BIOS which already has all options to change whatever you want... unlike Insyde BIOS :throw: I want to use Mac OS X so I won't get bored from Windows 8 as I am using Windows 7 now. Windows 8 got the same UI like Windows 7, so yeah...

Thanks again for you help and assistant :bye1:
