Dam. I was hoping that the f.14 bios would be good to go but that encryption/compression is what's holding it back if I remember correctly. Someone said it was encrypted with CryptRSA but i forget who. Whenever I see RSA encryption in place I figure they really don't want you to mess with it lol. Do you know off hand which WLAN cards will work natively with this bios? Preferably something a little less terrible than the 1000 series.
WLAN card for HP dv6t & dv7t COvert24 I was told by HP that the Broadcom 4313 AGN draft n WiFi card is the only dual band card that works with HP dv6t and dv7t pavilion notebooks, using the F13 or F14 UEFI BIOS. The HP part # is 593836-001. I have not tried this card to verify these clams. If you do get a chance to try this card in your dv6t please let me know how it worked out.
Wish I could get a mince intel 6300 in there but I guess no dice on that one lol. I'll do some research on that broadcom and let ya know. Anything is better than that 1k series in my eyes. The dual band will give me some more throughput too so win win I guess. I'll get back to ya! Edit: seems as though it's a single band according to broadcoms website?
Loxxx, do you think this will be the reply all around? or do you think someone else may have better experience with that encryption type and be able to get through it? (maybe TTAV?) Someone else also posted asking if a hex character replacement is possible to change the allowed card. Thanks for looking into it btw...
i can mod it (try to mod it) if you would like. you are going to need to produce a RW report though. do a search on how to.
