According to haiduongbros (if I understood him/her correctly) your RW Everything report tells that there is SLIC2.1 already present in the BIOS (in other words your Windows 7 can be activated as is, with out modidng the BIOS). In the original bios file there is SLIC2.0 present (in other words ONLY Vista can be activated with not moded BIOS). Most likely you have used an activator programme to activate Windows already, therefore RW Everything report is NOT correct (you did it right, but it has incorrect information). You should redo RW Everything report with Windows that is not activated with any kind of activator program (Windows must not be activated with activator of any kind, then creating RW Everything report, or the report will be incorrect). You may need to deactivate the Windows (with the same activation program you have used).
The high temperature is appearently normal operating temperature for this model according to HP... I would just like to make the fan run at maximum, or somewhat high speed, at a lower temperature. I would like to level the speed curve but HP doesn't let me access fan speeds in the BIOS. Right now my laptop just doesn't use it's fans enough. Edit: Also, I'm a little bit of a coward when it comes to opening my new laptop, so before I try that, I would like to make sure I have checked out any possible software-level solution
You should check if there is any dust layer collected on the inner side of the heatseank. Just blow briefly to the vent hole (do it with energy ), if there any dust comes off, then you need to clean the heatsink from the inside. It is very common problem with notebooks.
