All I can think of is open laptop up and take bios chip out and ask someone to reprogram it. Or warranty.

I tried many windows xp live cds but non of them working because windows xp has ACPI enabled and the bios I updated has no ACPI. So they all ending in Blue screen / hardware error... Are you sure your problem was ACPI?

sorry, I do a lot of methods to try to restore, I recall running in Dos Hiren Boot cd not mini XP, run many times before, and I replaced a lot of versions Flas**t.exe
minixp failed (complain about ACPI) dos failed (the same error on flas**t, FDT not found) bios uniflash utility on CD doesnt even load. booting on dos and running flas**t fails, with EMM386 loaded lot of errors (crash address etc). Without EMM386 the same error FADT not found. total failure
