Something is now quite wrong. I inserted the win 7 installation disk and it will not install. It instead goes into windows boot manager but will not run saying "An unexpected error has occurred". Status 0cx0000225 Not good. I now have a BSOD saying the BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor for an updated bios"
When I start my laptop I am getting this error message: The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid. system board (OOA) product name product configuration product serial number product number This happened after I did an update for the HP support assistant and did the scheduled maintenance through the support assistant. I've had the laptop for over a year so the warranty is no longer valid and the tech support from hp said it would cost me about $160 to fix it. Is it possible for me to fix it or is it something that has to be fixed? I have an HP Pavilion. I'm not really tech savvy but I can figure things out if I have instructions. I've tried doing searches on the internet but everything I find turns into a dead end. HELP PLEASE!!
I have no idea what to do with this and I'm concerned my laptop won't work. I don't want to run something like the above file on my desktop and find it is a problem.
The problem consists that you have given me incorrect file AcpiTbls.rw which contained SLIC2.1 and wrong tables. Probably at you on notebook it is established Loader. And you have a conflict correct SLIC with false.
I appreciate you tried to help me but I'm not sure which file I sent that was incorrect. I gave a link to the bios at the HP link and I uploaded the info from RWEverything to mediafire. What I need to do at this point is find a way to flash the bios from a CD or thumb drive if that is possible. I was provided a link to make a bootable CD and to put the bios on it but the one from HP is over 5mb and the FlashCD creator only works to 2.8mb I don't know if the insyde exe will run in a dos format as it's a win7 file. If there's no simple way, how might I extract the necessary files from the HP file and then flash the drive from that with a bootable CD or make my USB drive do that? Thanks
