Gateway NV55S09u w/ InSydeH2O BIOS won't boot from SDHC card...

I just updated to version 2.02 (released 12/12/11) today, but doubt it will fix my problem.

Interestingly enough, it lists "HDD: PNY" when I have my 16Gb SDHC card installed (it thinks it's an actual hard drive?), and no longer shows the internal hard drive. But, no matter what I've tried thus far, it will not BOOT from that SDHC card. It just immediately jumps to the internal drive (which is not shown in the BIOS, while the SDHC is plugged in) and boots Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

But, when I plug in my 8Gb PNY USB stick, it sees "USB: PNY" and will boot perfectly from it, every time.

Anyone know why this is happening? Should not a BIOS that sees a certain device be able to boot that device? Or is it simply mistakenly seeing a device it shouldn't be seeing (or seeing it in a way it shouldn't be seeing it) and thus that is why it won't boot, because the system simply CAN'T boot from that device.

My Gateway NV55S09u was manufacturer in 2011.
