    I strongly recomend not to use this mod as it bricks the board - no boot (Endless restart loop). What's worse - the known recovery procedures (AMIBOOT.ROM + USB) don't work either. I managed to recover by hot flashing on an identical board.

    Thanks for that, Module worked a treat.

    Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by permanent SLIC? As in 1 that will remain following bios upgrades with no need to re-mod the BIOS?

    If so would be very interested to know how that works, however at this stage I dont plan on updating the bios for this laptop that often - if ever again.

    I will however be attempting a MOD on a different ASUS desktop motherboard to go with my i7 chip in the next few weeks - so if I dont manage it myself, I will be back again then.
