    Hi People!

    Have a Acer Travelmate 5742Z with new bios 1.24 on the Notebook, have Version 1.23 as slic 2.1 version, but cannot flash from dos.
    Error "Your BIOS Version is older than . . . ."

    It is possible to flash with this older version?

    thanks Loxx,

    flashing was smooth but didn't worked i got blue screen and massage is "bios in the system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please load updated bios". system is stuck on blue screen..:(

    need additional help. thanks again for ur immidiate help

    Bios.fd is to rename the original Mc10r120.fd
    1. In setting the BIOS to get you?
    2. check AHCI mode or IDE.
