Hi 555, Thank you for providing the link. I don't see the current new bios inside the Rar file & need the new one. Is there an easy way to remove the bios from the exe that the phoenix tool will allow modification? Thanks!
@ Tito I did download it and will read up on how to use it properly. I'm sending this laptop off to be repaired Monday as a prior bios update failed during flashing and all attempts to correct the issue failed and now it's dead. A new bios chip will be replaced on the motherboard but it will have the original SLIC which was 2.0 I need to be prepared to have a moded bios with SLIC 2.1 so it will match the OS on the HD when it gets back which needs SLIC 2.1 Thanks
@ 555LE Thanks for that. I was using the laptop with the original bios which was moded with SLIC 2.1 and needed to update to the newer bios & doing so failed. I just mentioned that in a reply to Tito. I'm not sure how to use what you kindly provided but I'll read up on what I need to do as I'll probably need to install this from a flash drive, before replacing the HD which has the OS wanting SLIC 2.1
