I still like the way your mod, only hadiuongbro mod Module + rename SLIC in 3 modules

 

I have tried to unlock Slic in this bios, but they have included the OA30's support to the D4E91137... module and my attempts were unsuccessful yet

 

try it:
1. Open a Command Prompt window and change directories to the OA3Tool.exe file.
2. Type OA3Tool.exe /validate, and then press Enter.
The following sections provide sample output data, based on the OA30-MSDM.bin and the DM.bin files

First, sorry for the double post but i am in desperate need for this, All i want to do is be able to setup the default display to use the external monitor and allow it to display on the external monitor pre-OS (trying to install Ubuntu)It seems to only work on external montior with windows. I assume this should be simple for you elite bios modders

I have a HP dv6-1030us with:
Bios Revision : F24
Bios Type : Insyde
Can't locate the download for the orig bios from the manufacture.

It would be greatly appreciated for anyone to point me in the right direction to getting this done ASAP!

i had issues once and figured out i needed a boot cheatcode i think it was nomodeset or modeset=1 or acpi=off or acpi=force

try linuxmint.com 13 version is nicer than i expected.. mate 32 or 64 bit. same as ubuntu with a few tweaks.

Please excuse me as i am very new to doing anything with bios (in a since of modding or flashing). If you could be more specific in the steps i should take or reference me to a guide/tut would be awesome.
