    Yes I have a V3-771g. Currently I would like to update the BIOS on it 1.12 to 2.12.

    When I try from version 1.12 to 2.12 I get an error message.

    "please update to the same type of bios (v.1.x)"

    I believe that the BIOS 2.12 version is only for Acer V3 771g with pre-installed Windows 8 and not for pre-installed Windows 7 or upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8

    Hello!

    This is probably way outside this thread's topic, but... would it be possible to mod ASUS SABRETOOTH 990FX 2.0's bios (can't link, not allowed) to support the ATA Security Extension (ALA ATASX old-bios mod)? I have a SED SDD that supports such a feature...
