Created boot usb, entered utility, same version as the one I had before. Can't display advanced menu. All PCIDs I've tried were rejected.
Sorry, mea culpa. It was the bad idea - to run slic dump toolkit from windows 8, because it say "no slic" in this bios, but from windows xp and windows 7 slic found ok )
SLIC Toolkit doesn't work properly if OS is installed under UEFI/GPT mode. It fails to detect RSDT pointer. You need RW Everything to detect properly.
Try flash bios original, reboot then run NbDmiFit.bat or HPBQ156.exe HPBW084.exe HPBC311.exe HPBI158.exe HPBFL237.exe HpSet152.exe HPBFO502.exe HPBP118.exe or 1. HPBC280.EXE (Compal) 2. HPBFL229.EXE (Flextronics) 3. HPBFO337.EXE (Foxconn) 4. HPBI140.EXE (Inventec) 5. HPBQ145.EXE (Quanta) 6. HPBW068.EXE (Wistron)
I tried flashing it in DOS and it threw out the errors: Error: Current BIOS region not found Error: Get region map failed I decided to dump the bios using several different tools and checking it against flasher and I got the same thing everytime :/ This is frustrating,I think next I'll try digging around the rescue partition for an image? Maybe I could bs my way to one from a LvO tech?
Edit update.bat : replace Code: flas**t.exe BACKWL.ROM /bios /s -skipsbp with Code: flas**t.exe BACKWL.ROM /all /ecbp /bios /s -skipsbp and try again. add. or Code: flas**t.exe BACKWL.ROM /all /s -skipsbp
