Hp DV6-2066DX bios corrupt I have a Hp DV6-2066DX that is flashing the caps lock and number lock leds twice then pause and repeat. i dont know what the bios revision is on it. I got it from my mother in law this way. She said she shut it down and it would not turn on after that. Is there a way that i could get the most recent bios update for this laptop and flash it with 'win + B'? Thanks
@dark91zc - This is not a BIOS problem, most likely is the video chip un-soldered from the PCB, due to a batch of bad solder alloy, is a common problems of those machines, I've saved mine from the garbage for the same reason as well, the cure was a hot air blower carefully heating the video chip to the melting point of the solder, it needed a bit of care but it took only 5mins. If you're not familiar with PCBs and electronics find a friend who is or get someone from EBAY who's offering this service, the risk of destroying the PCB is pretty high. Best of luck.
Just a question Hi! Just a question: I got a new Lenovo g700 with an Insyde uefi-bios, but no BIOS is available at the Lenovo site for download. Is it possible to modify a BIOS dump and Flash it back? I´d like to have changed the CPU-whitelist, there is apparently one in the bios.
