    @dark91zc - This is not a BIOS problem, most likely is the video chip un-soldered from the PCB, due to a batch of bad solder alloy, is a common problems of those machines, I've saved mine from the garbage for the same reason as well, the cure was a hot air blower carefully heating the video chip to the melting point of the solder, it needed a bit of care but it took only 5mins. If you're not familiar with PCBs and electronics find a friend who is or get someone from EBAY who's offering this service, the risk of destroying the PCB is pretty high. Best of luck.

    Just a question

    Hi! Just a question: I got a new Lenovo g700 with an Insyde uefi-bios, but no BIOS is available at the Lenovo site for download. Is it possible to modify a BIOS dump and Flash it back? I´d like to have changed the CPU-whitelist, there is apparently one in the bios.

    Hi,

    i've registered to the forum after seeing your post about A12 bios mod request for Inspiron 3721.

    Since i got the i5 6GB ram version, have you achieved to mod the A12 bios version? Fact is I need to pump video embedded ram from actual (awful) 32mb to 1 GB (at least), but in standard bios there isn't any chance to change video card memory (assigned) value, can you help me please?

    Also, i've installed A09 bios modded following previous bios request for Inspiron 3721 (strangely i had to flash with "flash2.bat" and not the standard flash.bat through usb bootable; after this mod i still cannot see in bios any change (for video memory setting or anything else from stock bios version), do you know in which bios section i have to look for video settings?

    Thanks very much for help, i'm rather hopeless with this f..ing bios, shame because the pc hw itself is rather good, wainting for your reply !!

    @uepp23

    You need to use flash2.bat to bypass the protected registers. It only enables SLIC 2.1 for offline activation, nothing else.

    :tankyou:

    I did flash2.bat, i fact that was forced since i got error protection with "standard" flash.bat comman.

    Do you know if someone can "update" current modded bios (A09 or, better, latest A12 Dell Inspiron 3721 bios), or there are any Window 8.1 program/utility to change video memory value then? i used to think that modded bios could help, otherwise i'm pretty lost with anything (32MB video card ..... like 15 years old Geforce 256 :confused:)

    PLEASE, help me :worthy::)
