Make sure 'UEFI Boot' and 'EFI Device First' is enabled when you try this so that the boot menu will detect EFI boot devices. Have You selected EFI Device First as ENABLE an copied into USB Stick the "Bootx64.efi" file ? Because if the Bios get the Bootx64.efi drive it will add into Menu Tabs Bios ! so You can look new drive into bios !!! If answer is yes, You have done it, this means that there is no UEFI yet and we have to try the second firmware with added modules ! Let me know, as to install win8 in UEFI You have to do from USB Stick or DVD and intaller self will ask to format in GPT your HD. I'll wait a reply
I've created bootstick again with ruvus and windows 8 standard iso. Bootx64.efi is present and stick is in GPT style. Bios didn't show device as UEFI boot device and selecting stick for booting ends in booting system HDD. View attachment 26531 View attachment 26532 View attachment 26533
Have You tried USB Stick in FAT32 or NTFS too ? The last chance is to try the 2nd Bios with modules added, it's following Rajkosto method ! He has done the mod for Acer Aspire 5742G and worked ! I added this modules as He done, EmuVariable, DiskIo, Fat, Partition as they were missing as in 5742G. Let me know if do You want to try it.
Same issues for Fat32 and NTFS. I tried both. If you think second bios with modules will work for 8951G, I will try it.
Ok I look it I will check the modules into the FV and I'll reply tomorrow ! May be the 8951G's SetupUtility hasn't references to UEFI modules loading and I didn't see it. But I have a hope yet. With regards
