I understand and I am grateful, but I like to understand all the details to try to prevent problems before they happen and so that it's easier to troubleshoot in case they do happen. Thanks anyways and it's OK if no more explanation is provided!
Yes thanks but I thought you provided a different file which you have modded earlier and works with my laptop! Thanks a lot!
Hey, no need to worry . So far Insyde bioses showed themselves as pretty stable. The only bad flash i can recall was with bios update package which had 3 different bios files and the flashing utility had to make a choice. You have 1 file and the only thing that has been changed was your slic table which is responsible for Windows licensing ONLY. So if somehow there was a mistake in there your computer functionality will not be affected.
No,no, I downloaded the bios file from the link you have provided and modded it just like 3 hours ago - whenever i posted it.
Just post the advance page, that will tells us what slic is present and key used Edit: Why did you want slic 2.1 to activate vista, you only need slic 2.0 to activate.
I know, I want it to activate Windows 7 but I'm testing it on Vista first as it is already installed and was previously OEM activated before I installed the modded BIOS! I'll post the advance page once I get home because I don't have the laptop with me right now! Thanks
Here it is, I knew you will ask for it so I sent it to my e-mail last night, I will post the screenshot that Ruley requested when I get home! Thanks
OK, the slic table is empty now - strange. And that screen shot is not necessary anymore. Now when you get home you should try flashing your bios from DOS. I'm at work right now also, so when i get home i will give you link for the Flas**t utility and let me know if you need the instructions on how to make a bootable USB.
OK thanks! I know how to create a bootable USB, so I guess I just need Flas**t and to know how to use it! Thanks again!
