Hi, and thank you for your reply. Do you mean this has to be done only using a floppy drive? Will USB work? Actually we have tried USB... @mschumacher69 Hi, please try flashing your bios from DOS using USB (as you did the last time) but do not put on that stick any other files except Flas**t.exe + PO10190M.FD Don't use that batch file. When in DOS type as advised above: flas**t PO10190M.FD
Yes, this was suggested by Yen as one of the options. The only thing is that i wasn't able to find this bios version (1.80) for your machine on the support webpage - all they offer is 1.90.
Not really, but we ain't got any other options. Also if you want you can try contacting the support and telling them that after bios upgrade from their webpage your Vista is no longer activated and you don't understand why and what should you do now. See what they have to say Just play dumb like you have no clue about slics and stuff - like any regular user. Maybe they will give some kinda solution for this thing.
I can do that but I think their answer would be "activate using the Product Key on the sticker", that's what it's there for after all Would it be enough to check SLIC Dump after each flash because I find it easier to understand than RW Everything!
I tried the original 1.80 and it doesn't work, I give up, I think I'm gonna use a loader If you figure out something later plz let me know by PM. Thanks
LOL!!! What do you mean? You wanna brick it on purpose? I guess yeah, i just have to mess up your bios file and it should brick your laptop. It's funny, everyone is afraid of it and here you are - "Help me brick mine"...
Yes that's exactly what I mean!! Well why should I be afraid it's still under warranty so they'll have to give me a new one!! I'm still thinking about it though, I'll let you know when I make a decision!
