    @peter_58_ha

    Read the post carefully; you just need to use leaked HP tools to enable the hidden SLIC 2.1.

    Guys, there is something weird going on trying to install Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon x32bit on an old Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505 laptop. Originally, laptop came with Windows XP Home Edition, I upgraded it to 2GB of RAM having for quite a long time Windows 7 Ultimate running awesome on it. It took like ages to install Linux, which is strange... The .iso's MD5 sum was checked too. The installing process is very slow and even afterwards opening windows is the same, even after downloading updates. I'm having also the wifi LED blinking all the time.
    I was installing a x64bit version of Linux on my HP laptop (the one BDMaster modded it's BIOS) dual booting with Windows and was really, really fast.
    It could be from BIOS or you guys are having a better idea what's wrong here?
    Unfortunately, I can't do a check with RWEverything because of Linux. Should I install Windows again and sent you a report?

    Regards
