The above pic is correct, and yes it is for motherboards that support Core i5/i7 (in fact, all i3/i5/i7) as long as AHCI mode is correctly set (which it should be), or BIOS is set to RAID.
Did anyone run before and after benchmarks for RST 11.5, maybe with something like AS SSD? Just curious, since it's a big version jump. Thanks.
I installed Intel RSTe 3.2. today on a x79 chipset and after 1-2 restarts as requested got this BSOD Bug Check String : DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Bug Check Code : 0x000000d1 Parameter 1 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 2 : 00000000`00000002 Parameter 3 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 4 : fffff880`0121717c Caused By Driver : iaStorA.sys Caused By Address : iaStorA.sys+217c Is this BSOD caused by the Intel RSTe 3.2. I had a backup image and restored to that. That image has no Intel RSTe.
Hi all, The RST 11.5.0.1207 WHQL drivers install iaStorF.sys as a filter. Anyone know if reference to this can be removed from the Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}) without hurting anything? I like to keep my registry clear of anything that is not required. Thanks John
The memory leak affects the service, not the actual drivers. You can still run the new drivers without installing the service. The service is really only needed when running RAID anyway...
Please can someone help me on this. I did not install Intel RSTe 3.1 on X79 because of non working of Intel SSD toolbox and SMART. Intel RST 3.2 fixes this. However, I had checked sometime back and AIDA64 gave an immediate BSOD when it loaded and Intel RSTe 3.2 was installed. AIDA has claimed that this BSOD issue of iastor.sys has been fixed by new beta versions from 19 Jul 2012. The question is this: on an AHCI system, X79 chipset, and Intel SSD installed, do I lose much if do not install Intel RSTe. One thing I lose is seeing the correct sequences of hard disks in disk mgt. and in acronis. Also can someone please direct to asmedia USB 3.0 and SATA controller driver site. Also atheros Stationdrivers has the repository but somehow I could not find the manufacturers' driver download site.
Yes, I can see the Atheros.cz site. I installed IRSTe 3.2 and AIDA beta did not cause a BSOD. Strange that my Intel SSD always gives a WEI of 7.9 regardless of whether IRSTe is installed or not. Lately on my new new system, I have seen some buggy or reduced performance Intel drivers incl. RSTe, and Ethernet 17.0 to 17.2. Even on a laptop, I use Intel wireless 14.3, because v15.. have caused problems.
