Yes you are right. However, if you install the "driver" via devicemanager you will not have the memory leak. But this must indeed be fixed, hope Intel does not release this public again, and fixes the problem first.

How do they get those newer drivers while the intel site has no trace of any driver , it looks like a dead place on intel site.

Interesting that they have got the '8 Series' supported in these drivers, beta or not, since its supposedly about a year until Haswell is released.

    About: RSTe Win8 support

RSTe 3.5 will support Windows 8.
3.2 driver(storport driver) seems work under pass-through (w/o raid filter driver).

Intel has added Windows 8 drivers to their download page.

I noticed that the following drivers has been updated for Windows 8 for my Intel board:

    Audio
    RAID
    Chipset
    ME
    RST
    Graphics
    Lan
    CIR

I just noticed that Intel HD Graphics 2500/4000 only supports Win XP, 7, and 8. No Vista support.

    No big loss there. :p

I tried using the Intel Management Engine Driver on various laptops and desktops. Sometimes it works and sometimes it says that the system does not meet requirements and I have to download the driver straight from the OEM manufacturer like HP or Toshiba.

Does anyone know why this happens?
