@ Squall-Leonhart or Michelle68 Know where to get the release notes for RST 10.6.xxx? I checked the package, Intel site, and web but found nothing. Just bought an OCZ Vertex 2. The toolbox has major compatibility issues with RST 10.xxx per OCZ site. There's a hint that 10.6 may have resolved these issues but the print is in another language which I can't translate (image). Thanks Update: Found the ReadMe inside the F6 install directory, but had no reference to what's new, only: 1. Overview 2. System Requirements 3. Language Support 4. Determining the System Mode 5. Installing the Software 6. Verifying Installation of the Software 7. Advanced Installation Instructions 8. Identifying the Software Version Number 9. Uninstalling the Software 10. Entering the Option ROM User Interface 11. Option ROM RAID Volume Management 12. Options to RESET the RAID volume in Option ROM 13. Verifying the Version of the Option ROM Software
For Intel RST version 10.6.0.1002, why is size of zip (0.3 MB) so much smaller than the exe (11 MB)? I do not suppose that it is all due to Intel Control Center in exe version.
The ZIP files only contain either the 32-bit or 64-bit drivers, the EXE file contains all the drivers plus the installer routine that determines the OS and what to install.
I do not understand, I installed Intel rapid st.. Version: 10.6.0.1022 which was dated in June. But when I look in device manager it says 10.6.0.1002 (2011-05-20)
It is the right version of the driver, Rapid Storage 10.6.0.1022 contains 10.6.0.1002 of the AHCI/RAID driver. It's also stated in their readme.
Hi Michelle, Can you advise on where to get the drivers from if I was load during install of the OS (F6) as the download from Intel is an executable for after the OS is installed. RoaryT
