NO BIOS mod tool works on backup of Phoenix bios (so it was pointless to do) Use yourself the oa2intel, no need for any mod. And just read next time before you ask sebus
sebus, I should have mentioned I tried - I'm getting this error... Code: C:\oa2intel\win>oa2intel update PUBKEY.BIN marker.bin PKSIGN.BIN OEM Activation 2.0 Utility - X006 Copyright (C) 2004-2007, Intel Corporation Distributed under restricted license. Do not redistribute. INT 15h EF01h failed to return EFI Variable Size -- FAILURE AH = 86h - NOT_SUPPORTED This tool is not authorized to update this BIOS. Motherboard is D850GB Thanks
I hav some questions, Does this tool actually mod the recovery bios in the rom or just the ordinary one? is there any way to mod this program to modify ofline bios so that it can be flashedso that it countain a slic?
Thanks for your report. Here is the list of m/b's in which the tool is reported as working.. guys please check on more m/b's and report please... I will try my new DH57JG tomorrow. Hopefully it will work since someone hasdone a DH55C. I looked at the bios in hex editor and it is an EFI bios.
Tried it on DG965RY, no problems, even though this model is not exactly recent. Tested as well on DG35EC, can confirm it works too.
I'm having a problem with a DG33TL which uses the same bios as the DG33BU that has reported as working. I visited Intel's web site, and downloaded/updated to the latest BIOS they have for this board (as of last night, it was from 2009). using the ASUS.BAT, tool runs, gives me the hex, returns me to prompt. Running OA2INTEL status also says successful. Power PC off, then on, Everest doesn't show SLIC. I've tried under Vista (32bit, as admin), and plain dos (boot off USB memory stick). Same results each time. I also tried the Dell.bat. Am I missing something?
Hi, I want to report my experience with MB Intel D975XBX2KR and Bios BX97520J.86A.2838.2008.0903.1859 I tried with DOS and Windows (oa2intel, oa2intelwin, win.rar, intel.zip) and always with the same result: With JPSCSA_JPSCSA_ the SLIC 2.1 was OK, but no certifcate! In all other variations: Programming ok, but there is no SLIC present. I hope there will be a solution.
Heinzi, it seems that only the JPSCSA_JPSCSA is working with D975XbX2 boards. No one so far has confirmed it works with any other slic. You will have probably have to wait till someone comes up with another solution or some cert for it. I wonder which company uses the JPSCSA, never heard of them myself. The D975XBX2 bios maybe coded slightly different from the others. Don't have that board so I cannot test.
