You need to run the oa2intel tool from an elevated cmd prompt.

Open Start, type cmd, then press Shift + Enter

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

When I try to apply the bios update from the Gateway it does not work in windows. However when I apply the bios update from INTEL it worked while in windows, but I don't think it has any slic info. How can I get the Gateway bios update to install? Should I go through dos? If so what program do I need to update in dos?

I recieved the following error when using the oa2intel program in full dos:

    INT 15H EF01H Failed to return EFI Variable Size -- Failure AH = 86H - Not_Supported

This tool is not authorized to update this bios.

any suggestions on what i can do next?

thank you for the tool and it worked great on a Gateway Desktop with an Intel Mobo D945GCZ from early 2006. I almost gave up on this desktop but after checking this threat it look promising.

I flashed it with the Asus Slic 2.1 and Win7 activated.
