I will buy the DH57JG m/b this weekend. I want to modify this bios. Can I use oa2Intel.exe to this m/b?
-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Intel DG965OT -Bios Revision : MQ96510J.86A.1754.BI.ZIP ver.1754 -Bios Type : ITK or BIO, both are in zip file -Bios SLIC : 2.1 -Bios Link : ttp://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17153&lang=eng note: I removed the first letter "h" at the start if my bios link cause this forum wouldnt let me post links or images. please mod this bios TIA
I at first fried the oa2intelwin and was able to get all things say programmed on the Intel board DDG965RY, dellpubkey.bin dellsign.bin dellmaker.bin etc. I wasn't able to activate with the cert now I cannot program them at all, I reset the dates and made sure it was in admin mode. Even booted with DOS and it won't show as programmed when I try to use the oa2intelwin commands. WickedNick, Could you possibly hash a SLIC for the Intel DG965RY it is a slightly different BIOS and mentioned above, Thanks!!
gunn234, all the Intel desktop boards (from the channel) that based on 965 chipset and later chipsets have EFI based BIOS. This BIOS is not modded yet. We are using some Intel tools insted of modification. All the Intel desktop boards (from the channel) those are intended to be used under Vista and Windows 7 have the possibility of Marker and Key integration to its ACPI Tables. The main problem is the Signed Key that we use. This key was obtained from one of our members. The first realizations of the SLIC implementation algorithm were the Signed Key dependant. The modern versions does not. In other words, the first boards (some 945, 965 and 975 chipsets) might check the Signed Key validity and deny the Marker (do not copy it to the SLIC table) if this Key is wrong. So, the way to solve it, is to get the proper Key and Marker set.
Thanks Wicked Nick, Does anyone know why the oa2intel win would program 3 things such as the pubkey, sign and marker, and then days later not be able to do so? I used the date changer to set all things back and it seems that the command of "update" doesn't do anything, even after erases.
I just googeled a few pages because of the problem to flash a valid SLIC table to the Intel D975XBX2 by which Windows 7 can be activated (for "JPSCSA_JPSCSA" no certificate is available). Just google for the EVEREST Report by the key words "dotjonline.com Report.txt") Hmm... an ASUS SLIC with BIOS Version BX97520J.86A.2792.2007.0905.1804? Could someone (i.e. SEK) who could report about success flashing the Intel D975XBX2 with other than "JPSCSA_JPSCSA" tell something about his BIOS version?
I have dg33bu. only programs with Asus(with other it does not) but slicdump 3.2 with admin shows no slic present. bios latest version DPP3510J.86A.0572.2009.0715.2346.
I am hoping somebody will kindly mod my bios with an HP 2.1 SLIC, and advise of flashing method. I also found a modded bios here with the ASUS 2.1 SLIC but I don't know the trick. I was trying the iflash method included with the download from Intel, but substituting the SLIC file in place of the original didn't fly. Motherboard: Intel D865GBF Bios Rev.
