Tito, I'm interested in moding my Intel DH67BL mobo using the OA2Intel file set (HP-OA2Intel-Cert-Key.7z) that chubila confirmed to be working. So I want to manually install the HP cert he used. Thanks anyway,

Hi. I'm trying to update the BIOS of a VAIO VGC-RM1 desktop computer system to support SLIC 2.1. At first I tried to update a BIOS file using Phoenix Tool 1.8.5, but got an 'Unable to add SLP' error message at the end of the process. I was told that I would have to go a different route since the motherboard and BIOS are technically Intel. My original mod request post is here (sorry I can't put in a post link yet): Forum > Computing Life > BIOS Mods > BIOS Mod Requests. Post Requests Only > Insyde bios mod requests > Post #7277 I checked this post: Forum > Computing Life > Windows 7 > SLP Marker File Update Utility > Post #6 ...and I'm guessing that I might be able to use OA2INTEL in order to insert SLIC 2.1 table without having to modify the BIOS in any other manner. I downloaded the 'OA2INTEL.ZIP' file that is linked to that post. However I do have a few questions. After unzipping the file, there is a '~CERTIFICATE~' folder with a 'Dealin-2.1.xrm-ms' file in there. I have a Sony 2.1 certification file that I'd like to use. Can I just replace that 'Dealin-2.1.xrm-ms' file with my own and then just run WIN.BAT? If so, does my .xrm-ms file need to also be named 'Dealin-2.1'? Thanks in advance for help.
This utility is unable to work with sony Post your request in the respective thread for bios modification
I posted a request in Forum > Computing Life > BIOS Mods > BIOS Mod Requests. Post Requests Only > Insyde bios mod requests, but was told I'd have to go a different route since the BIOS is Intel Insyde and the motherboard is a disguised Intel board of some sort (the Intel Integrator Assistant utility can actually run on the system). So I'm kind of stuck at what I can do at this point since I'm pretty sure such a modification can be done. I'm just not sure where to make the request and who can help. Thanks again.
I get this response: INT 15h EF01h failed to return EFI Variable Size -- FAILURE AH = 8Eh - NOT_FOUND This tool is not authorized to update this BIOS. Is there anything else for me to try?
