Not planning to necro a thread, but I am replying to seemingly confirm on my end that Intel MWT seems to not work as it should on Windows 8 [and consequently after, on Server 2012. Yes, I tried [not exhaustively though]], and that I am proceeding to go to their forums to try and hunt down some possible solutions. Have been using the most recent drivers. Previously I used older drivers, force-installed to Windows 8 RP, but as expected, MWT does not work as it should [i.e. the WiFi sharing feature]. Now I'm trying out the RTM, and the newest drivers install flawlessly, but then no Intel MWT fun still. The system tray icon doesn't even show up, and the virtual adapters back at /Network and Sharing Center >> Adapters/ doesn't even show up... I guess this is part of the issue at hand. If it matters, I'm running on a laptop equipeed with an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250 AGN + WiMAX.
